So what the heck does Giblote (the name of this blog) mean anyways? The real spelling is "gibelotte", and it's the name of a fish soup from the town of Sorel in Quebec. When I was a kid, every time we'd ask my dad what was for supper, he'd answer "Giblote!", which as far as we knew was the name of some unknown and totally gross-sounding foreign dish. I finally decided to look it up and render it for my blog banner. The fish used in the dish is called a "barbotte", fyi.

Hahaha, nice!!
I always loved french fish names, they sound so silly.
Nice to know!
The way I always understood Giblote before though was that Gi was for Guillaume and Blote for Blog :p
So I never questioned it!
